I
have attempted to be the perfect Pinterest mom, and it’s too exhausting. Trying
to get everything just right and being the mom, everyone envies. I have learned one lesson of life is to be available
and try to make your kids think you are super woman every now and then, but you
have to have a little “you” time….. I know, what is that? I have spent hours on
a birthday cake, which takes a minute to destroy and I luckily have a picture
to remind myself of the tears and cuss words it took to create. I think in
reality, your kids just want you to spend time with them, have you listen to
what’s going on in their life (THEY DO NOT WANT ADVICE). I’m a work in progress and I love listening
to other moms who admit their struggles, brag about their success, and strive
to be better. Admit, being a mom is hard work, you get to be a chef, maid,
chauffer, teacher, nurse, friend, drill Sargent, and a counselor all in one,
without any professional training!
